Chinese Scarecrow

Off all the photos I've taken since we've lived in Asia, this is my favourite so far.

I love the colours; serenity and Chinese-ness of the scarecrow. Wonderful how 'scarecrows' might be Universal, but what they're dressed in reflects local culture.

Maybe I'll go on a world-tour taking photos of locally-clad scarecrows. Could think of worse ways to make a living. (Mind you, like everywhere else, they still use dead CDs threaded on garden string to keep away the birds).
